What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is an immersive, meditative, full-body listening experience in which participants are gently “bathed” in resonant sounds and vibrations created by instruments, such as crystal singing bowls. These sessions are designed to support nervous system regulation, deep relaxation, and gentle restoration while honoring both the body’s natural intelligence and the psyche’s natural capacity to heal. The recurring frequencies from the instruments are designed to facilitate a shift toward Alpha and Theta brainwave states, fostering a sense of tranquility or deep meditation.
Participants may also experience a quieting of the default mode network, potentially inviting one into a non-ordinary state of consciousness. Some people report physical or emotional release during or after the session. The therapeutic sounds and frequencies of the singing bowls are believed to facilitate subtle yet profound shifts within the physical and energetic body.
Who can benefit?
Anyone looking to relax and calm their nervous system can benefit. No prior experience necessary. Sound baths are open to anyone, regardless of the level of experience with meditation or sound healing.
How long is a sound bath?
I typically offer 45-50 minute sound baths, but can also accommodate as needed.
Collaborations
I am happy to collaborate with other providers including yoga studios and corporate settings. I love being able to connect and creatively collaborate with other members of the community to create classes, workshops, or retreats.
